Federal Funding Update

California WIC is open.

On November 12, 2025, the United States Congress passed a bill that provides full funding for the WIC program through September 30, 2026.

Families should continue to use their WIC benefits and attend their WIC appointments. WIC continues to serve families in California without any disruptions.

Orange, yellow, or white
Mild, medium, sharp, or longhorn

Colby Cheese Jack Cheese Marbled or blends of authorized cheeses,
such as Colby-Jack or Cheddarella Mozzarella cheese

Individually wrapped sticks:

Cannot Buy

Any other variety, size, or texture of cheese
Diced, grated, sliced, crumbled, or shredded cheese
Cheese purchased from or sliced at the deli
Cheese with added ingredients, such as hot peppers or spices
